Every industry where being wrong is expensive built a place to be wrong safely first. Carmakers crash test before a car carries a family. Pilots meet the emergency in a simulator, never for the first time in the air. Medicine is tested long before it reaches a patient.

Except the industry that decides about people. A launch, a price, a message, a new market: the choices that carry the most weight get no rehearsal at all. They go live on real people, once, and a miss is paid in money and trust.
